About This Project

We collaborated with the prestigious Royal Exchange Theatre to produce high-impact promotional video content for their spectacular production of Singin’ in the Rain. The brief required us to capture the sheer joy and iconic nature of the rain sequence. To achieve this, we planned and executed a complex live action shoot conducted entirely within a dedicated, professional water studio. This demanding yet exhilarating setting allowed us to deliver unique, premium footage that perfectly encapsulated the show’s energy.

The production was a fantastic challenge that required meticulous planning, from ensuring the safety of the equipment and team in the wet environment to executing the lighting and camera work. While the shoot was technically intricate, it was also, as the client noted, a lot of fun, reflecting the infectious energy of the source material. Crucially, we extended our expertise into post-production, producing bespoke sound design to amplify the piece, working in direct collaboration with the show’s composer. This seamless integration of visual and sonic elements ensured the final high-quality shots were perfectly tailored for powerful social media content.

The final high-quality assets successfully translated the visceral experience of the stage production to digital audiences, creating powerful, shareable content positioned to generate significant buzz across social channels. The project was delivered on time and deemed a resounding success, and we were thrilled to receive feedback confirming a very happy client. This campaign showcases our unique ability to manage the complexities of a water-based shoot, deliver expert theatre production video, and provide dynamic creative solutions—even when the brief involves professional lighting and extensive logistical planning in a studio environment.
