Koala created a cinematic book trailer for Operation Pimento, a gripping wartime memoir by Adam Hart, published by Hachette, that tells the true story of his grandfather’s role in British military intelligence. Written and narrated by the author himself, the film offers a powerful, personal introduction to the book, drawing viewers into a world of espionage, secrecy, and legacy passed down through generations.

Working closely with Adam, Koala shaped a voice-led narrative that honoured the tone and spirit of the memoir. The project included access to an extraordinary archive of original material, including family photographs, vintage video footage, letters, and declassified documents. These historical assets became the backbone of the visual language, brought to life through thoughtful animation, subtle visual effects, and immersive sound design.

The production team at Koala handled every element of the film, from concept development and editorial to motion graphics and final audio mix. The result is a trailer that feels cinematic, textured, and emotionally resonant. Through animated maps, aged textures, and fluid transitions, the team captured the atmosphere of wartime intelligence while staying focused on clarity and engagement for a modern audience.

The final trailer was delivered in a full suite of digital formats for use across web and social media, including 16:9, square, and vertical aspect ratios.
