Koala partnered with Kikkoman and Sky to produce a visually rich series of advertising idents for broadcast across The Food Network. Created to showcase the depth and versatility of Kikkoman’s soy sauce, the campaign comprised twelve short-form spots designed to air in rotation around premium food programming. Built using high-quality, slow-motion food footage supplied by Kikkoman’s global asset library, the idents were reimagined through Koala’s storytelling and post-production expertise to suit UK audiences and broadcast requirements.
Working from the supplied live-action footage, Koala developed unique storyboards and scripts for each ident, ensuring a cohesive brand voice while offering visual and tonal variety across the series. Each spot was tailored to highlight different culinary moments, from rich marinades to elegant finishing touches, designed to evoke appetite and emotion. The campaign’s editorial approach focused on simplicity and refinement, allowing the product to take centre stage without interrupting the viewer experience.
To enhance the sensory appeal, Koala crafted a bespoke sound design for each ident, layering ambient kitchen textures with subtle musical elements that elevated the visuals without overwhelming them. A warm and inviting voiceover was added to provide context and reinforce Kikkoman’s message of quality and tradition. Our team handled all aspects of post-production including edit, audio, motion branding, and final delivery to Sky with full compliance for The Food Network’s broadcast standards.
This project highlighted Koala’s strength in post-led commercial production, food content storytelling, and adaptation of global brand assets for local market use. By delivering a polished series of twelve idents, we helped Kikkoman achieve sustained brand visibility across The Food Network, aligning their premium product with the UK’s most passionate food audiences through tasteful, cinematic, and strategically placed creative.
