About This Project

We were proud to partner with the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) to bring the Net Zero Neighbourhoods initiative to life through powerful storytelling. This project required a creative and engaging approach to educate and inspire local communities about the benefits of reducing carbon emissions and adopting sustainable practices. Our goal was to craft a visually compelling narrative that not only explained the initiative but also showcased the real-world impact of these changes.

To achieve this, we combined live-action ground-level and aerial drone footage with dynamic 3D sketch-style animation, seamlessly blending realism with conceptual visuals. This approach allowed us to capture the transformation of local neighbourhoods—highlighting key measures such as energy-efficient homes, improved public spaces, and greener transport solutions. The mix of real-world environments with animated overlays helped illustrate complex ideas in a way that was both accessible and visually striking.

Every frame of this production was designed to make the vision of Net Zero Neighbourhoods feel tangible and achievable. From sweeping aerial shots that showcase the potential of greener urban spaces to carefully crafted animations that break down the key sustainability measures, we ensured that the messaging was clear, engaging, and action-driven. By working closely with WMCA, we crafted a film that doesn’t just inform but inspires individuals and communities to take part in creating a sustainable future.
