At Koala, we believe in the power of storytelling to inspire change. When the NHS approached us to create a campaign for Stoptober, we saw an opportunity to make a real difference. Quitting smoking is a huge challenge, and we wanted to create something that not only raised awareness but also connected with people on an emotional level. This campaign was about more than just delivering a message—it was about starting conversations, offering support, and encouraging action.
To make the biggest impact, we developed a fully integrated campaign across multiple platforms. We produced a powerful TV commercial, a compelling radio ad, eye-catching out-of-home (OOH) visuals, and a suite of engaging social media assets designed to reach people wherever they are. Whether someone was watching TV, listening to the radio, walking through their city, or scrolling through their phone, we made sure the Stoptober message was impossible to ignore.
Authenticity was at the heart of everything we created. By blending professionally shot footage with user-generated content, we ensured that real stories were front and center. People trying to quit smoking shared their journeys, struggles, and successes, making the campaign feel raw, relatable, and genuinely inspiring. This mix of high-end production and real-life experiences allowed us to build a campaign that felt personal and deeply impactful.
For us, this project wasn’t just about producing content—it was about helping people take control of their health and make a positive change. Seeing the reach and response to the campaign reinforced why we do what we do.
