For the launch of Stef Penney’s Beasts of Paris, we worked with Quercus to create a series of atmospheric motion graphics for a global social media campaign. The objective was to capture the gritty elegance of the historical setting, Paris under siege, and translate that tension into high impact digital assets. We focused on building a visual narrative that felt both immersive and immediate, ensuring the book’s unique and visceral premise stood out in a crowded social feed.
Our production focused on high end motion graphics that brought the book’s striking cover art to life. By layering subtle animations, period specific textures, and dynamic typography, we produced a suite of assets tailored for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. This digital-first approach ensured that the campaign was not only visually arresting but also optimised for mobile engagement, utilising rhythmic pacing and evocative sound design to pull viewers into the heart of the historical drama.
This project demonstrates our ability to take complex literary themes and distil them into high impact social content. From the initial storyboard to the final delivery of multiple aspect ratios, we provided Quercus with a versatile toolkit of professional video assets. By blending creative storytelling with technical motion design, we helped build a compelling online presence for one of the year’s most evocative historical novels.
